We have Twins!!!

Christmas came a little early this year for Cannon! I have been holding on to this secret since late September when I put the deposit down for these two babies. To say I am an animal person would be a stretch, however when your husband is dying for nothing other than a puppy you man up, and make his dreams come true. I’m a fan of the “go big or go home” motto, so I figured why have one precious little baby girl, when we could have two… Twins!!

I have been telling Cannon for about three months that we can’t have a dog right now with our travel schedules, and business endeavors. I tabled the discussion until after Cannon was finished filming these two movies he is doing stunt work in until late January. Knowing this was going to be a total surprise I absolutely wanted to capture the moment. In comes my sweet friend, and photographer, Mary Kate Steele. We have been scheming for this moment for months. After some arm twisting, and bribing, Cannon agreed to be a part of my “Christmas Gifting” photo shoot for the blog. I explained we would have several boxes he would open, and each would feature different items.

As I was walking up to hand him the first box, my only thought was this puppy is about to jump out of this box, and completely ruin the surprise. Therefore, I was sprinting from my car to give it to him haha!

As you can see by the look on his face, he is SUPER excited to be doing this shoot for me!

If you think his face is a little blank up until this point it’s because I had been referring to everything we were going to take pictures of as “props” i.e. “Just open the box, and I will have a prop inside, we will take a few pics of the prop” etc. At this moment he asked me “Whose dog is this?” I had to hold my laughter in when I said “it’s your dog” When he said “Really? for Real? it’s not a prop???” I almost died!! Then comes the face of shock, and excitement, that this little lady is his forever!

I thought I would add a little fun, and gift him the puppies separately. I told him I was going back to the car to get her box of toys for him to open too. Then comes box number 2!
