Summer Splurge and Summer Save

 

Summer is one of those times of year when we love to spruce up our wardrobe with a few new items. I have found splurging on a good cover up, and saving on a lower cost bathing suit is a good way to go!

Cover ups seem to last you longer due to not being on in the water, and generally being taken off once you get to the pool,beach, or lake. You really only wear them coming and going. Invest in a nice one that will last you several seasons, and make sure it is versatile. Go with a neutral color way or very colorful one. If it’s neutral you can wear it with almost anything! If it’s colorful, like the one I have on, you can almost wear it with any solid colored bathing suit. I purchased this cover up a little over a year ago. It is still my go to for a fun beach cover up look. This is absolutely my favorite cover up brand. They are light weight, and easy to get on and off. You simply slip the halter over your head, and step out. The slit up the front makes it easy to walk, and gives this piece great movement. I have linked several from this brand that are similar. I am eyeing the all white one with the subtle color stripes right now!! 😉

My light  blue one piece is from Target, and is under $30. Target is killing the one piece game right now. I will have a post up tomorrow of a few of my favorites. This one is a great fit. I think the cut is really flattering as well. I am curvy, so it’s always a must for me that the bottoms have full, or close to full coverage. This one fits the bill. The lace up feature in the front is a nice detail. I think it makes the suit look a little more expensive then it is.
