It’s finally starting to feel like fall in Memphis! We’ve had long weeks of 80-90 degrees this September rolling into October, but the season has long at last changed. This week has been our first drops into the 60’s, and man does it feel like pumpkin season!
I’ve found layering is my best option this time of year, especially down south. We have days that may get up to 80 degrees, and nights that could drop down in the 50’s, so it’s best to always come prepared with several different layers.
I’ve partnered with PinkBlush to share with you how I like to layer fall clothing, and bonus… we are doing a $75 PinkBlush gift card giveaway!! You can hop over to my instagram here to enter!
Kimonos are my new obsession. I seem to be picking them up more and more lately. They are so seasonally transitional you really can find ways to wear them year round. I loved the combo of plaid and tassels with this one. Also it only has one arm hole so you can wrap it around your neck on the other side, and make more of a cape look, if it gets cold out. It is super light weight, which makes it a great option for those days when the weather could go either way.
My top is only $37!!! It looks way more expensive. It also comes in black. I’m all about the tunic fit. For me with leggings being so on trend, I lean towards tunics with the legging/ boot look. This top would work really nicely for a holiday party as well.
I wore it in New work to Bridal runway show with a pair of really fancy earrings, cuff bracelet, leather pants, and heels!
You can shop my plaid kimono here, and my red top here!
PinkBlush has been on my radar for a while, as I have so many friends who are having kids. I always hear them asking where to get cute maternity clothing, so when I found PinkBlush, I knew I had hit the maternity clothing jackpot. PinkBlush is more about the lifestyle than the pregnancy.
I love everything about their mission statement, “Here at PinkBlush we welcome you to indulge in the world where fashion meets motherhood. Designed specifically with you, the modern mother in mind, we provide looks that are stylish, trendy but most of all affordable. Feel confident in knowing that keeping your style is now more than ever obtainable because PinkBlush is not just a brand, it’s a lifestyle.” -PinkBlush
These women really understand that having kids changes your body, and its a process to find clothes during, as well as after pregnancy. Their mission is simple. They want to provide women with pieces of clothing they can wear during, as well as post baby, and still feel fashionable. Both pieces I have on could be worn during pregnancy, and clearly before or after seeing as I’m not pregnant. 😉 Check them out here, you won’t be disappointed!
